Based in the new urban community of Stapleton in Denver, Colorado, Urban Designer is a sole-proprietorship providing superior consulting services in urban design, architecture, community planning and solar photovoltaic in the US and abroad. Urban Designer was established in 2008 to respond to the needs of communities and their consultants for sustainable urban design solutions and participatory decision-making. Our goal is to make a difference by providing sound consulting with achievable solutions while building healthy, prosperous and lively communities.
Urban Designer was founded by Ignacio Correa-Ortiz, AIA, AICP, an architect, urban planner and graduate of the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee with twenty years of experience in multi-disciplinary projects covering urban regeneration strategies, development master plans, transit planning, urban design and architecture.
As experts in sustainable design, Urban Designer is involved in every aspect of planning and design, from the visioning stages of planning to completion of plans offering continual support through implementation and construction. Our extensive skills encompass all aspects of decision making, including problem definition, goal and objective setting, alternatives development, concept development, site programming, master planning and architecture to fit specific client needs.
Urban Designer Principal, Ignacio Correa-Ortiz, possesses a unique breadth of experience and knowledge spanning from community to building with projects in the Americas, Asia and Africa. In order to meet the individual needs of our clients, Urban Designer maintains a wide range of qualifications, licenses and certificates, we excel in three-dimensional illustrations, graphics and reports, and continue to expand our knowledge and consulting services to assist clients with successful projects.
